Raising funds for local
community defibrillators

A look at what's been happening....

Wonderful for us to be featured in the Derbyshire Times yet again, however, the Chesterfield Community First Responders definitely deserve the spotlight and recognition for their hard work.

These amazing individuals give up their own time to save lives, getting paid nothing for it - they are are the true heroes here!

The work and dedication they provide to the community is incredible and help save so many lives! After hearing about their amazing work we donated 2 defibrillators that will be put to great use helping casualties and 999 call outs!

Community first responders are local people who respond to emergency calls. They are trained to provide aid for many different medical situations, including delivering life-saving intervention and defibrillation to patients in cardiac arrest.

Because they are local, they can be on the scene far quicker than an ambulance and therefore they are able to provide care to patients in those vital minutes before the ambulance is able to arrive.

These minutes really can make the difference between life and death. The role that Community First Responders play in emergency situations just can't be emphasised enough and whilst the work we do in fitting defibs in cabinets is important, giving these guys defibs really is guaranteed to help in the efforts to save people. We can't think of a better location for a defib than that.

Thank you to all community first responders and keep up the great work!
